Just What I Needed

This is just what I needed right now. I'm 24 and was just diagnosed with MS a few days ago and stumbled upon this site. It made me realize that lots of people who are living with MS still have normal lives. Thank you for having this website. It has given me hope for the future, no matter how uncertain.

Thank You for making time for everyone

by Rosanne

Hello Akrista, this is Rosanne again.

Just want to say how I appreciate your site because you give everyone the time of day! You reply, you keep track, you keep in touch. As MS is not commonly understood in the Philippines, I go from one MS site to another to get more information or get some answers to questions I have.

IN OTHER SITES, it seems they have no time to respond to people outside of America. I'm just too happy there's such a site as yours where everyone is heard and responded to. May God favor you both for all your help and support.

Wish You the Best!

by Inke
(Denmark)

Dear Akrista and Cir,

I was in the US as an exchange student in 2008 and my hostmum suffered from multiple sclerosis. I saw her having her good and her bad days, laughing and crying. However, she got up every single day, took care of her three children just like every other mother and loved me like a fourth child.

Now, I go to college in Denmark and I am giving a presentation in my class about MS tomorrow. I used a lot of the information from your site, so I just wanted to say thank you! You helped me a lot and I am sure that you help many people in many different ways.

I love the way you are so positive about life.

I wish you all the best and admire your attitude. Don't change!

May God bless you.

Inke

What a wonderful site on MS!

I live with my sister who has been diagnosed with MS for 25 years. She is in a wheelchair full time, but that doesn't stop her from doing just about anything she wants!

She's a teacher, sails, rides a bicycle, camps, is a great cook, snow skis, river rafts, kayaks and many more things that I don't even do as an able bodied person.

I got on the Internet to find out if it was true that Natalie Merchant has MS. I couldn't find anything to affirm that. But, I did find your site. I've been on it for about 2 hours, just reading everything.

I'm really impressed with the depth of the knowledge of the disease and love how you write in such human terms. I'll definitely keep coming back from time to time.

Thanks for the time and effort you put into your writing and sharing.
Regards,
Faith St. John
