Hello, It's Just Me, Kaye

by Terecia Kaye Lewis
(Burnet, Texas)

I discovered when I was 17 and engaged to be married that I probably had MS. At age 22 the diagnosis was confirmed as a result of my case history.

I have been blessed with 3 healthy, intelligent, motivated children, 3 grandchildren and a job that I loved for 17 years. I am ambulatory, but can no longer work due to worsening symptoms.

The last few months have been really tough, but my Lord blesses me everyday with the ability to take care of myself. I have been taking Copaxone for the last 10 years.

There is a lot more to tell because this has been a 35 year journey with MS. I can still walk, see, smile, pray, visit with friends and family.

Wonderful Story
by: Akrista

Hi Kaye,
What a wonderful story. Thanks so much for sharing it with us and our visitors. So many feel that it's all over when they receive a diagnosis of MS. Especially at such a young age.

You have shown that it is possible to live a satisfying life even with a disease like MS.

Thanks again for sharing,
Akrista
