Awaiting MS Diagnosis

by Alice

Your site is concise, thoughtful and comprehensive *so comprehensive I am unable to do anything but peruse it a bit at a time :)

Please, please do not forget those awaiting diagnosis while living with MS symptoms. Those who are in 'limbo'.

Remember how you simply wanted to know so you could get on with your lives.

Thank you,
Alice

Hi Alice,

Thanks so much for your suggestion. We definitely do not want to forget those of you who are waiting on a diagnosis. I've read so many stories about you who are living with MS symptoms and not knowing what in the world is going on.

Thinking that you may have some terrible life-threatening illness. Having doctors tell you that your symptoms are all in your mind (it would not be good bedside manner to say you were actually crazy). Or you only need to "push yourself" or "try a little harder" and things will get better.

Cir's doctor told him he couldn't have MS because he was male and African-American - go figure. Yes, Alice we've been there, too. And we haven't forgotten.

Thanks again and enjoy our site!

Help Do I Have MS?
by: Anonymous

Hi, I'm 34 and 2 years ago suffered vertigo out of the blue. Since then I have had pins and needles, leg and arm weakness, and heavy feeling. Neuro dismissed me. Said I was stressed.

I'm definitely not. Had MRI of brain and back - both nad, and without contrast. Finally was diagnosed (with) a vitamin B12 deficiency 1 year ago and receive weekly shots. Since (then) was feeling great for about six months but lately having flare ups of all of the above.

(I'm) finding it very hard to cope. (I'm) a mother of 2 young children. (I) also have severe loss of libido.

What shall I do now?? Badly need advice. Also (want) to mention loss of balance. Have had ENT review which ruled out ear related problems.
