Resistance

I get somewhere
But I can't get back
My mind is willing
But my feet won't move

Pushing against a sand wall
The impulses don't come through
So I sit awhile
I try to be patient

I rest because I have to
After awhile I try again
I shift, I plod, I make a trek
I go some feet, a matter of inches

Then it starts all over again.
I have MS.
