My All

by Deb Fysz
(Marlton, N.J.)

No one envisions waking up to the nightmare of not being able to see

Everything was fine yesterday so there's no way this could be

Then feelings of relief when the doctor said, there's nothing wrong with your eyes

But in the very next breath being told something that would take you by surprise

Your brain is loaded with lesions, there's some on your spine too

You have Multiple Sclerosis my dear and there's not much we can do

We're sorry to tell you there is no cure and you'll only get worse each day

We don't know how and when you got it, but we know it won't go away

So many tears have fallen since and will no doubt continue to fall

But as long as there's still breath in me I will give this fight my all

Be strong my friend as I know you can be. You are an inspiration to all who are in this fight along with you.

My beautiful strong sister
by: Your sister, Colleen

I wish I had the talent you had with such beautiful words. Ever since we were little girls you wrote so elegantly. You are stronger than you think, and when you do feel you can fight another fight, lean on your family to help you through it. Love you sis! What a great example of strength you are to everyone around you.
