PAST LIFE and my Story of MS
by Shana Lamphere

My name is Shana. I was once a Physical Therapist Assistance, before my diagnosis of MS. I began searching for support groups in my area. However, they were very depressing to say the least.
I got mad at the way things were done here in my county so I decided to CHANGE things. So I began my own support group, its called FAMS- Families Against Multiple Sclerosis.
I was diagnosed in 2007 and started my meetings in the beginning of 2008. I am now 40 years old living with some difficult symptoms of MS. But I do not let that bring me down. I am a very positive person that likes to help others when I can.
I volunteer for the Mid-Florida National Multiple Sclerosis Society. If anyone is looking for resources that may be hard to find, let me know. I will see what I can come up with.
I enjoy researching information for myself and others. Any questions are open for discussion with me. I love talking and getting to know others with and without MS. I hope you enjoy my story.
Thank you so much,
Shana
