Danny Wallace Football player

by Mercy
(California )

David Lloyd "Danny" Wallace (born 21 January 1964) is an English former footballer who played for Southampton, Manchester United, Millwall, Birmingham City and Wycombe Wanderers. He won one full cap for England.

Like him, many football players have developed MS. I was questioning why? But when I saw that many of them have undergone surgery with epidural as many women who develop MS after pregnancy. In my case it was also after anesthesia.

I have tried many treatments and one that is working is a treatment with acupuncture. The doctor who treats me with it is the most skilled acupuncturist I have ever known and I have the hope that with this treatment I will fully recover.

I wish the best to everyone.

Mercy

May have MS and Misdiagnosed
by: Ruth

Hi, I'm a single mum of 3 amazing children. I have spina biffida occulta, scoliosis. For the last 3 years I'm struggling with feeling exhausted pains in my joints and my eyesight in my right eye deteriorating. Pins and needles in my hands. I read about MS and feel that's me to a "T". My youngest child is in a football academy. It is his dream, like many young children, to become a footballer. I want to continue supporting him for as long as I am able to do so. I am being passed from pillar to post with my symptoms. Had an MRI and they found fluid on my spine. I'm waiting
to see the spinal surgeon and feeling hopeful I may get some answers to this daily nightmare. My GPS and doctors don't seem to like that word - MS and I'm confused as to why. All I want to know is why I feel the way I do. Many thanks.

MS and Epidurals
by: Akrista

Hi Mercy,

That's a very interesting theory. I've never heard of there being a link between developing MS and having a recent epidural. Yet when men who have also had an epidural develop MS, you can't help but wonder.

I'll have to do a little research to see if there have been any studies about this.

I'm glad you have been getting treatment by an acupuncturist. I and I'm sure others would as well, like to know more about how this works for you.

If you would like to talk more about your progress as you undergo your treatment, we'd be glad to hear about it. Do you use any other treatment along with the acupuncture? Or is this the only thing you do? And what type of MS do you have and how long have you been diagnosed?

Thanks for adding your famous person with multiple sclerosis to our list, as well.

Take care,

Akrista
